Spring 2010 Work

In Spring Quarter 2010, I was coming out of Mold Making studio and going into Advanced Ceramics.

In the first three photos, I made a mold of a ball and 2 diamonds and explored how something can take over an object. I slip cast 6 balls and covered them with varying amounts of large and small diamonds. I glazed them with cone 6 never fail clear + pea green/ sky blue mason stains, and cone 6 satin silver gray.

The next photos are of a continuing piece from Mold Making Studio Winter Quarter 2010. I chiseled the form out of a plaster cube and finally figured out the crazy mother mold during Spring 2010. I cast the forms and glazed them in a cone 6 neverfail clear + pea green, matte blue, and glossy red.
